How alerts are checked
A rule watches one series (a stored series or a custom metric) and is checked by the pipeline after the
market data stages, and on demand ("Check now"). Conditions, all on the series' own readings:
above / below the reading crosses the threshold: this reading is above (below) it and the reading
before was not. A level that stays above does not fire again until it falls back.
z_above / z_below the move into this reading, divided by the standard deviation of earlier moves
(Anomaly Radar's daily or print z), is at least (at most) the threshold.
high_1y / low_1y the reading is above (below) every reading in the 365 days before it.
Each check evaluates the readings newer than the last one evaluated (the first check: only the latest).
One hit per alert and reading date. Thresholds are the analyst's; none is suggested here.
